A detailed lion head relief for CNC carving in stone or hardwood. The launch flagship: strong silhouette, deep undercut-free geometry, carves cleanly with a tapered ball-nose finishing pass.
Carving notes
Carves well in limestone, sandstone and hardwoods. Rough with a 6 mm end mill, finish with a 1-2 mm tapered ball-nose at 8-10% stepover; the mane rewards a fine finishing pass. Drill the two 3 mm eye seats last and set the zirconias with epoxy.
